Upcycling textiles and expanding my handmade wardrobe.
Hi there, my name is Vita. I am a crafty homemaker, I love upcycling old textiles and turning it into something new, one of a kind, original and fabulous.
At this point in my life I try to focus more on sustainability and allowing myself to explore more of what I truly like without chasing the fast fashion merry go round. Of course fashion can be fun and entertaining. It is a form of art after all. I do get inspired and entertained by it. I just simply do not chase fast fashion new collections that are way too fast to catch up with.
My style is inspired by so many things such us time and traveling. Some things I simply love and I do not feel shy about it. In this video I turned 2 gorgeous rectangle textiles into two beautiful Hippie, one of a kind blouses.
Both textiles were thrifted. One was a shawl, another most likely a tablecloth. What a sweet way to enhance my wardrobe, give a second chance to these old textiles and of course… save a lot of money.
In our modern society there is way too much waste. Let’s be wise and use our creativity to become better versions of ourselves.
